We are the first UK psychology service to integrate the mindful approach across all of our services. We deliver evidence-based time sensitive psychological therapies for individuals, couples, families and groups, specialist mindfulness groups and a range of CPD, retreat-based and workshop programmes. We have a purpose-built mindfulness meditation community space and tranquil garden, as well as a host of bespoke clinical rooms. Our approach is the first of its kind for the northwest, we offer a holistic space with a city garden retreat. From your initial consultation with one of our specialist psychologists you will leave the practice with a sense of being understood and a clear therapeutic plan. We are open from 8am - 9pm, 7 days a week.

Mindful Psychology Ltd is an independent private psychology practice. Our services are directed by Dr Amanda Kinsella and Operational Director Dr Alastair Pipkin with a team of Health Care Professions Counsel (HCPC) registered practitioner psychologists. All our psychologists have undergone rigorous doctorate training and bring together a wealth of experience from years of service and expertise within the NHS and the private sector.

Within our individual clinical therapies we offer support to individuals and couples who seek solutions to their psychological and emotional difficulties.

We offer a range of evidence based therapies: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Relational and Psychodynamic informed therapies. Please see our therapies section for more information.     

Our Mindful in Action Programmes (MIAP) have been designed by Dr Kinsella, who alongside her colleagues are passionate about raising the awareness of the benefits that mindfulness brings to individuals and businesses alike.

I found Dr Kinsella from Mindful Psychology by searching for people in my local area as I was struggling with my mental health, following a breakup and generally struggling to function day to day in work and at home. Therapy was new to me, and I wanted to find someone who I could trust and found out that Dr Kinsella specialised in Men’s mental health and this I believe made it easier for me. I originally did face to face sessions but moved to online and found the transition to be no issue and would say just as good, Dr Kinsella is lovely and I cannot thank her enough for all the support given and the skills and tools I have to help me day to day, I feel re energised and know that I’m much wiser and equipped to support me with life in general. I could not recommend Dr Kinsella enough.
